Teslim Balogun Stadium is Surulere's football ground, and it runs on a real timetable. There is a local league match every afternoon, a floodlit game most other nights, and on Friday and Saturday nights the pitch turns into a concert venue. The gates never close, but almost everything worth doing here only happens while a match or a concert is on.
That timetable is what makes the stadium different from a club or a cinema. You can't just turn up whenever you have a free hour and buy a ticket; you plan the visit. Get it right and the stadium gives some of the biggest single fun and social boosts in the city, plus a free Charisma trainer in the stands and a free Fitness trainer on the pitch. Get it wrong and you'll find yourself paying for a stadium tour and a jersey because there was nothing else on.
No career is based here, but the stadium is the natural day out for anyone in the Football career at the viewing centre down the road, and it sits in cheap Surulere next to Amala Shitta for a proper meal before kick-off.
Opening hours
Learn the weekly rhythm. The afternoon match is a local league game with gates opening at 4 PM and kick-off at 5 PM, every day of the week. From Sunday to Thursday there is also a night match with gates at 8 PM and kick-off at 9 PM; this is the day's featured LagosBet game, so you can book it on your phone and then watch it live. On Friday and Saturday the night slot becomes a concert, with doors at 8 PM, the headliner on stage at 9:30 PM and the music running until midnight. Match tickets stay on sale until well into the second half, so arriving late still works; concert tickets stay on sale until late in the night. Football workers are on shift during most of these slots, so their best stadium days are Monday and Thursday for the night match and Friday for the concert. Rent is due on Saturday morning, so don't spend Friday's concert money if it's needed for rent.
Teslim Balogun Stadium never closes, so you can come at any hour of the game day. Rent comes out every Saturday at 9 AM, wherever you are.

Time is in-game time. “Effect per go” is how far one go moves each need bar (out of 100): the game adds any one-off boost, such as a meal's hunger, to the activity's hourly rate times its length. The cheapest paid activity is Gala & Pure Water at ₦300, and 2 activities are free. Prices are for ordinary players: once your net worth passes ₦1B, the game multiplies most of them by 10.
The match tickets are the core. The Regular ticket in the Popular Stand is the value pick: a big lift to fun and social and a Matchday Buzz mood boost for very little money. The VIP ticket adds a snack and a stronger mood boost for ten times the price, and the Executive Box is for players who want to be seen. Lead the Chant is the hidden gem: it's free, trains Charisma at one of the better rates in the city, gives a quick burst of social and fun, and the game only checks that a match is on, not that you bought a ticket. Five-a-side on the Pitch is free Fitness training at any hour, as fast as beach football at Elegushi, though it costs energy and hygiene. The concert tickets give the biggest fun numbers on the page, but the fun bar stops at 100, so a huge number on a single go is partly wasted unless you arrive with your bar low. The stadium tour, the fan shop and the penalty kick are weak, and the gate suya costs several times what the same snack costs at the viewing centre.

- Executive Box₦250,000 · 1.8 h+158

- Lead the ChantFree · 20 min+23
The biggest single boost is Front Row (+180, ₦500,000). The best free option is Lead the Chant (+23). Per naira, Gala & Pure Water gives the most: about 40 points per ₦1,000.
Skills you can train at Teslim Balogun Stadium
| Skill | Best activity here | Cost | Rate | 0 → 3 | 0 → 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Charisma | Lead the Chant | Free | 1 | 4.8 h | 11 h |
| Fitness | Five-a-side on the Pitch | Free | 1.2 | 4 h | 9.2 h |
Rate is skill gained per in-game hour at level 0; the game divides it by 1 + 0.6 × your current level, so each level takes longer than the last. Hours assume you start from zero, before the ×1.25 LAPO Baby bonus and the ×1.15 for a mood above 40.

Teslim Balogun Stadium tips: what actually works
Buy the Regular ticket, then lead the chant
A Regular ticket plus a couple of rounds of Lead the Chant gives a big fun and social boost, a mood boost and some Charisma training for about the price of seven plates of amala. The VIP stand is nicer, but the extra points rarely justify ten times the price.
Train Charisma during any match
Lead the Chant only unlocks while a match is on, but it doesn't need a ticket. If you're in a Charisma career like Football, Retail or Banking, stopping by during the afternoon or night match for a few free rounds is cheap, quick training. It does cost a little energy each time.
Use the pitch as a free gym
Five-a-side is open around the clock and trains Fitness for free; among free options, only jogging round the track at UNILAG is faster. It's handy for Nursing, Medicine or Fitness Coach players who live on the mainland. Follow it with a wash, because it lowers hygiene.
Arrive at a concert with your fun bar low
Needs can't go above 100. The concert tiers, especially the Front Row, give more fun than an empty bar can hold, so if you walk in already happy you're paying for points you can't keep. Go on a night when your fun is down, and you'll get the full value plus the long-lasting mood boost.
Eat before you come
The gate suya costs several times more than the malt and suya at the viewing centre and gives about the same hunger. The pure water and gala is cheap but tiny. Eat a proper meal at Amala Shitta before kick-off and you'll save money and keep your mood up through the game.
Pair the night match with a LagosBet slip, carefully
The night match from Sunday to Thursday is the day's featured LagosBet game. Booking a small slip on your phone and watching it live is fun, but the odds have a bookmaker's margin built in, so stake small and treat it as part of the night out.
What a visit costs
A free visit is five-a-side on the pitch and Lead the Chant during a match: Fitness, Charisma, fun and social for nothing but energy. A cheap matchday is a Regular ticket and a malt at the viewing centre beforehand, a couple of thousand naira all in. A concert night with a Regular concert ticket costs several times that and is still reasonable once a week if you're on steady pay. VIP concerts, the Executive Box and the Front Row run from tens of thousands to half a million naira; they make sense for rich players who want the longest-lasting mood boosts in the building and don't mind paying for points the fun bar can't hold.
Mistakes to avoid
- Turning up when no match or concert is on and buying a stadium tour or jersey instead. Check the time first: afternoons from 4 PM, nights from 8 PM.
- Paying for VIP when the Regular stand gives most of the same boost.
- Buying a big concert ticket with a full fun bar. Anything over 100 is wasted.
- Buying food at the gate. The viewing centre and Amala Shitta are a short walk away and much cheaper.
- Spending Friday's concert money when Saturday morning's rent isn't covered yet.
Is Teslim Balogun Stadium worth it?
Teslim Balogun Stadium rewards players who plan. Budget players get one of the best fun-and-social deals in the game from a Regular ticket, plus free Charisma and Fitness training. Football workers get a natural place to spend their days off. Rich players get the Front Row and the Executive Box, with the strongest and longest mood boosts in the building. The only players who should skip it are those who can't fit a 4 PM or 8 PM slot around their shifts. For a cheaper screen version of football with no timetable, use the viewing centre instead.
